The following documents are required for a Danish Schengen visa application:
- Online Application Form - completed and signed
- Passport - valid for at least 3 months beyond the intended date of departure from the Schengen area and with at least two blank pages
- Two passport-style photographs - recent, color, and taken against a light background
- Proof of Travel Medical Insurance - with a minimum coverage of €30,000 and valid for the entire Schengen area
- Proof of Accommodation - hotel reservation, rental agreement, or invitation from a host
- Proof of Sufficient Funds - bank statements, paycheck stubs, or other documents showing that you have enough money to support yourself during your stay in the Schengen area
- Roundtrip Flight Reservation - or other proof of transportation
- Schengen Visa Application Fee - €80 for adults, €40 for children aged 6-12 years, and free for children under 6 years
Step 2: Schedule a visa appointment
Once you have gathered all of the required documents, you can schedule a visa appointment at the Danish embassy or consulate in your country of residence. You can do this online or by phone.
Step 3: Attend your visa appointment
On the day of your visa appointment, bring all of the required documents with you. You will also be asked to provide your fingerprints and have a digital photograph taken.
Step 4: Wait for the visa decision
The Danish embassy or consulate will review your visa application and make a decision within 15 calendar days. If your application is approved, you will be issued a Schengen visa.
Step 5: Collect your visa
Once your visa has been issued, you can collect it from the Danish embassy or consulate where you applied. You will need to present your passport and a copy of your visa application.
Step 6: Travel to Denmark and the Schengen area
With your Schengen visa, you can now travel to Denmark and any other country within the Schengen area for up to 90 days within a 180-day period.
