The following documents are required for a Belgium Schengen visa application:
- Visa Application Form: Completed and signed
- Passport: Valid for at least 3 months beyond the intended date of departure from the Schengen area, with two blank pages
- Two Passport-sized photos: Recent and taken within the last 6 months
- Proof of Means of Financial Support: Bank statements, payslips, or other documents that show you have sufficient funds to support yourself during your stay in the Schengen area
- Travel Itinerary: A detailed itinerary of your trip to the Schengen area
- Proof of Accommodation: Hotel reservations, rental agreements, or other documents that show you have a place to stay in the Schengen area
- Travel Insurance: A copy of travel insurance policy that covers medical expenses and emergency repatriation
- Visa Fee: The visa fee is €80 for adults, and €40 for children between 6-12.
Step 2: Submit your application
Once you have gathered all of the required documents, you can submit your visa application at the Belgian embassy or consulate in your home country. You can also submit your application online through the Belgian Visa Application Centre website.
Step 3: Attend your visa interview
After submitting your application, you will be invited to attend a visa interview at the Belgian embassy or consulate. At the interview, you will be asked questions about your travel plans and your reasons for visiting the Schengen area.
Step 4: Wait for a decision
After your interview, your application will be reviewed by the Belgian authorities. The decision on your visa application will be made within 15 days of the interview. If your application is approved, you will be issued a visa.
