How to Restore Coleman Camping Stoves

Coleman stoves have been around for a long time and were built to last. If you find that yours is not performing as well as it once did, it is time to give it a little TLC and bring it back to a like-new operating condition. Over time, carbon and particulate matter can build up in the pipe work creating clogs and lessening the stove's functionality, but with a little cleaning, these relatively simple devices can once again help to bring you your hot meal.

Instructions

    • 1

    • 2

Remove the center screw in the middle of the (each) burner and remove any debris that would block the flame from flowing out of the element.

    • 3

Scrub and wash the burners and casing with soap and water to remove any boil-over residue or grease.

    • 4

Turn the stove upside down and allow to dry.

    • 5

Oil the fuel bottle pump shaft by applying a small amount of mineral oil through the oiling hole located on the base of the pump, which is found with the pump shaft fully extended. Oil the shaft of the pump as well in order to ease priming.
