Topsail Beach, North Carolina is a popular tourist destination on the state's coast. As of 2009, the town had a population of 581. Topsail Beach is located on the southern end of Topsail Island, and is the smallest of three different towns located on the island. Due to its location, many of the attractions at Topsail Beach are centered on the ocean, most notably cruises. Several different companies offer cruises of different types for visitors to the island.

Belle of Topsail
- Belle of Topsail gets its company name from its flagship, a 55-foot replica of an 1880s riverboat. The Belle of Topsail cruises throughout the waterways which line North Carolina's coasts, taking as many as 49 passengers along for the ride. The boat features both an upper deck and a lower salon, in which customers can host weddings, corporate events, private parties, and rehearsal dinners.The Belle of Topsail is also available for specialty cruises, including a weekly pirate-themed cruise.

Topsail Island Tours - Buccaneer
- The Buccaneer is run by Topsail Island Tours, and offers several different specialty cruises throughout the Topsail Island area. The Bubba Gump Shrimp Kids' Cruise takes children on an educational fishing cruise, in which they catch various marine animals and learn about them. On Monday's through Saturdays, the Buccaneer sets out for a sightseeing cruise in which guests can see ospreys, dolphins, and other wildlife. The Buccaneer also goes on periodic pirate cruises.

Topsail Island Tours - Vonda Kay
- The Vonda Kay is also run by Topsail Island Tours. It is a 72-foot party boat that regular tours throughout the Topsail Beach area. The boat can fit up to 76 passengers and runs on twin diesel engines. The Vonda Kay's excursions are all fishing trips. Among the fish that can be caught are black sea bass, snapper, grouper, triggerfish, mahi mahi, amberjack, mackerel, and cobia. In addition to its regular schedule, the Vonday Kay can also be chartered privately. An on board deli serves food, drink, and other refreshments.

Cape Fear Coastal Charters
- Cape Fear Coastal Charters is a small company run by Captain Owen Sewell. Sewell has over 40 years of saltwater fishing experience to his credit, and provides fishing cruises for mackerel, tuna, mahi mahi, red drum, trout and flounder, among others. These fishing cruises are available at any time during the summer months, and trips are available inshore, offshore or nearshore depending upon the client's preference.
