Leominster is approximately five miles west of Shirley, just off Route 190. Here, the Motel 6 provides convenient lodging for those visiting the nearby town or Fort Devens. Accommodations at the motel include the typical standard rooms with either queen or full-sized beds, as well as cable television and private bathrooms. Unlike other lodging options around the town of Shirley, the modest Chocksett Inn is not part of a motel chain and, in fact, has more of a feel of a local bed and breakfast. It is located in the town of Sterling, which is about 10 miles southwest of Shirley.There are only 26 rooms in the inn, but all are equipped with cable television, free wireless Internet and private bathrooms. Two suites are available as well, each containing its own kitchen and living area. Breakfast is free at the Chocksett Inn, and the lodging provides space for hosting events, such as birthday parties and wedding receptions.
