How to Lease a Car in Japan

Leasing a car is an easier way to drive a car without making a large down payment. It allows you to pay only for what you use, or the amount by which the car depreciates during the time you drive it. Before leasing a car in Japan you must obtain a car park certificate as well as alien registration. However, the lease terms depend on the company from which you get your car. Most car leasing companies require a letter from your employer indicating your position and salary as well as the duration of your contract. You must also present a copy of your contract.
