Aerolineas Argentinas Luggage Requirements

The Argentinean government owns 90 percent of Aerolineas Argentinas. The Argentinean Police of Aeronautical Security has the most authority over air travel and luggage regulations, and has created rules with security as the top priority, especially for flights that connect to the United States or the United Kingdom. The Police of Aeronautical Security also has the jurisdiction to change regulations as needed.

Checked Baggage
- Areolineas Argentinas allows tourist class passengers on domestic flights luggage up to 33 pounds. Club Condor business class passengers can check baggage as heavy as 66 pounds. International tourist travelers check baggage up to 44 pounds unless route regulations change allowing between 55 and 70 pounds. International Club Condor passengers check bags with a maximum total weight of 66 pounds unless separate route regulations allow a maximum of 88 pounds. There are additional fees for excess baggage.

Allowed Items
- Aerolineas Argentinas has a list of items they accept for carry-on luggage. Travelers are allowed to bring a purse or traveling bag. They can also bring an umbrella, reading material, snacks for children, jacket or coat, small camera, cell phone, iPod or other audio equipment and electronic notebook.

  Banned items for passengers' handbags include scissors, nail clippers, file or cutter, knives, knitting needles, screwdrivers, or awls with a chiseled edge. Prohibited items in handbags and checked baggage include firearms, explosives, flammable liquids and gases, and corrosive items like batteries and cleaning products.
