Does the seattle space needle sway in high wind?

The Space Needle has a very strong foundation and is designed to withstand high winds, so it does not sway much. There is a limit to the amount of sway, and if it were to sway too much it would be noticeable to people inside. When engineers were designing the Space Needle, one major concern was strong wind. They knew the structure would need to be strong and stable to not sway. If the Space Needle were to sway too much, it could make people inside feel sick and dizzy, and it could even cause structural damage.
