How fast do sand dunes move?

Sand dunes move at varying rates depending on the strength and direction of the prevailing winds, the size and shape of the dunes, and the availability of sand. In general, large dunes in arid environments can move several tens of metres per year, while smaller dunes in more humid environments may only move a few metres per year or even remain stationary.
