Select a travel website with bidding capabilities like priceline.com, skyauction.com or ebay.
Click on the "Bid" or "Bid Now" button. Because these websites also allow for the outright purchase of tickets, it is necessary to get to the page that allows bidding. If using ebay, enter "airfare" in the search box.
Enter your flight information. You will need to enter your departure city, arrival city, travel dates and number of passengers. Click on "Bid Now."
Name your price. If using priceline.com, enter the necessary information. This is a blind process, and you will not know the times of your flights until after the ticket has been purchased. Skyauction.com and eBay are more open with their information, but have a more limited selection.
Review all of the information. Be sure the dates, locations, and passengers are correct. The website will display the terms of bidding.
Enter your payment information. If all of your information is correct, enter your credit card information before officially submitting your bid.
Receive your response. Your bid will be approved or declined. Priceline will give you their response within 60 seconds. If your bid is accepted, the tickets are automatically purchased for you using your credit card, and your flight itinerary will appear on your screen. EBay and skyauction.com will list the closing time of the auction before you bid. This gives you an idea of when you can expect a response.
