Confirm that Southwest flies to your destination and has flights from your city of departure. Check the Southwest Airlines website (see Resources) or call the reservations number at 1-800-435-9792.
Make the reservation over the telephone by giving the agent your departure and destination cities and the dates for departure and return. Ask for the lowest fare, or choose from other fares. Some higher fares allow priority boarding privileges and other features. Pay for the flight using a major credit card or debit card, or request a courtesy hold for 24 hours.
Make the reservation online by visiting the website and entering your travel information in the reservations box on the homepage. Follow prompts to complete the reservation.
Contact a travel agent. Find a travel agent by checking the American Society of Travel Agents website (see Resources). Call the agent and provide your travel plans while stating that you wish to travel on Southwest.
