How to Make Reservations

One of the most important things when planning a vacation is the reservation. Hotel reservations are generally required; it can also be a good idea to plan your dining in advance too. Reservations for a restaurant will guarantee you a seat at a table --- but remember that depending upon how busy it is that night, you may still have to wait a little bit.

Make your reservations well in advance. Depending upon the restaurant, you will need to call at least 24 hours ahead. However, some restaurants do take reservations up to an hour, or less, in advance.

Call the restaurant. Many local restaurants only by direct phone call. Give the host or hostess your name, contact information and the number of people. You will also want to give any special occasion or celebration details at this time.
