Decide where you would like to visit and stay in Ireland. It is rich in history and things to do and see. There are so many wonderful places to see that you may have to limit your visit to a few of the must-sees.
Consider visiting Blarney Castle and the Blarney Stone. Legend says you will have the gift of eloquent speech when you kiss the Blarney Stone. Children can learn the history of Blarney Castle while touring.
Think about outdoor activities. Many activities are available for older children such as rock climbing, sailing and swimming. Walks in the national parks and countryside can be breath taking as well.
Ensure you visit some of the activities especially for families. Dublin has the third oldest zoo in the world. The Irish National Heritage Park in Wexford will take you through Ireland's extensive history.
Take a tour. Many of the cities have bus tours you can take. They will show you highlights of the cities and give you a history. There are also bus tours out of Dublin. These are multi-day trips and go to several cities and villages. These maybe enjoyable for small children rather than walking.
