    Norwegian Jade

    • With a capacity for a total of 2,402 passengers Norwegian Cruise Line's Norwegian Jade cruise liner offers a 93,558 gross tonnage. Her overall length is 985 feet with a 25-knot sailing speed. As of October 2010, she was served by a crew of 1,075 people. Check into one of four cabin options available on the Jade, including interior rooms (no window), ocean view cabins, balconies and suites. The Jade's finest accommodation option is the 5,000-square foot three-bedroom garden villa, with a whirlpool bath tub, sundeck, hot tub, courtyard, butler and concierge.

      Select from 16 different eateries on board the Jade, including Jasmine Garden, Le Bistro, room service, a sushi bar, steakhouse and three daily buffets. Also on board is a casino, sports courts, card room, art gallery and auctions, arcade, chapel, boutiques and library. The Jade was originally christened the "Pride of Hawaii" and had her first sailing in 2006, but she took a new name to go along with Norwegian's conventions.

    ms Oosterdam

    • Holland America Line's ms Oosterdam cruise liner started sailing in 2003 when she was christened by Princess Margaret of the Netherlands. The ms Oosterdam is part of Holland America's Vista-class, can hold 1,916 passengers and has a gross tonnage of 82,305. As of October 2010, 817 crew members served on board the 936 foot long ship. The ms Oosterdam can reach a maximum speed of 24 knots and has a beam of 105.8 feet. Passengers may choose from inside, ocean view, balcony or suite accommodations.

      To keep cruisers busy on board, the ms Oosterdam offers features such as free Windows and Microsoft workshops, a fitness center, piano bar, lounges, grills, kids' clubs night club, spa, salon, coffee house, library and the Culinary Arts Center, the only cruise liner activity sponsored by "Food & Wine Magazine." Passengers receive gourmet cooking lessons by Holland America's master chefs and specialty guests.
