    The Den

    • Situated in Harlem, The Den is within walking distance of Marcus Garvey Park, and 20 minutes from Morningside Heights, via the transit system and walking. This trendy restaurant opened in 2004 and offers an eclectic mix of dim lighting, artwork created by local artists and velvet curtains on the restaurant's walls. Hip-hop and rhythm & blues dancing is offered on Wednesday through Saturday nights. Karaoke singing is available on Tuesdays. The Den serves dinner on Tuesdays through Sundays. The restaurant is closed to the general public on Mondays, but is available for private parties. Entree items include Not Yo Mama's chicken and waffles, crab cakes and shrimp Alfredo, while the dessert menu features peach cobbler and cheesecake. The Den has been featured in the New York Post and Uptown Magazine.
