Established in 1923, the historic Cotton Club has seen legendary jazz greats, such as Duke Ellington, Lena Horne and Cab Calloway, perform within its walls. Swing dancing is offered on Monday nights, and live jazz music and dinner buffet is provided on Thursday through Saturday nights. On Saturday and Sunday afternoons, the Cotton Club presents live gospel music. A cover charge is required for these nights, which covers the cost of dinner as well. Cotton Club serves lunch on the weekends and dinner on Thursday through Monday nights. The club is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. The buffet includes Southern-style food such as fried chicken, collard greens and candied yams. A full-service bar is available. Reservations are required. This trendy restaurant opened in 2004 and offers an eclectic mix of dim lighting, artwork created by local artists and velvet curtains on the restaurant's walls. Hip-hop and rhythm & blues dancing is offered on Wednesday through Saturday nights. Karaoke singing is available on Tuesdays. The Den serves dinner on Tuesdays through Sundays. The restaurant is closed to the general public on Mondays, but is available for private parties. Entree items include Not Yo Mama's chicken and waffles, crab cakes and shrimp Alfredo, while the dessert menu features peach cobbler and cheesecake.
