A turn-of-the-century mill building houses The Masquerade, a legendary hot spot for the locals since 1989. Priding itself as one of the country's most unique night club facilities, the venue is broken into two sections called Heaven and Hell. Heaven is the smaller dance area complete with a DJ, and Hell is used for larger events such as concerts.
The Masquerade is also available for private rentals and corporate events, and all genres and all types of bands perform at this venue. Drum and bass, trance, '80s music, new wave and disco are regularly heard at the Masquerade. It is a non-smoking establishment and serves alcohol to patrons who are over 21 years of age.

The Pearl hosts a fun and lively place to hang out, offering dining, entertainment, dancing and socializing. Its name and décor are inspired by the essence of the freshwater pearl. The interior has iridescent hints of teal, bronze, platinum and copper, giving it a warm and comfortable ambiance. There is also a restaurant on the premises featuring fine dining and American Southern, Cajun, Creole and Soul food. It is a popular spot for dinner and Sunday brunch as well. The Pearl is closed on Monday, but can be made available for private events. The rest of the week features a variety of local radio DJs, comedians and jazz and blues music. Ladies get free admission and receive free drinks on certain nights. The doors open at 5 p.m. daily, and there is no cover charge for guests who arrive before 9 p.m. There is a free parking lot and valet parking services available as well. And as always, there is complimentary parking offered for unescorted ladies.
