Johnny's Hideaway is one of the city's original night spots, having opened its doors in 1979 and calling itself Atlanta's only nightclub for "big kids." Johnny's Hideaway features some of the best DJs in Atlanta, who play popular hits from the '50s to today. The interior features vintage photographs and slides. The Sinatra Room is dedicated to the legendary singer and is full of memorabilia and photos nostalgic of Vegas history. The King's Corner is a corner of Johnny's Hideaway dedicated to the memory of international music legend Elvis Presley, and one of his authentic jump suits and other Elvis memorabilia are on display. The Atlanta Poker Club also hosts Texas Hold 'Em every Monday at the venue. The restaurant at Johnny's Hideaway is open late and serves a complete menu of lunch, dinner and late breakfast. The dress code is casual yet dressy, and the venue is open for dining and dancing seven nights a week.

Inside it has a crescent-shaped lava-surfaced bar known for its excellent martinis and a comfortable lounge area complete with plush velvet couches and a fireplace.
