The Royal Caribbean Land Activities

For each Royal Caribbean cruise vacation booked, you can always incorporate land and shore excursions into your travel package. Different activities and tours are available at each port of call and also at ports of departure. Cruise passengers can schedule these excursions with Royal Caribbean up to 10 days in advance of their sailing date. Royal Caribbean also accommodates passengers who use wheelchairs or scooters with its Accessibility Ashore Excursions.
  1. Land Tours

    • Almost every port of call Royal Caribbean stops in offers some type of land tour to passengers. Royal Caribbean land tours vary from port to port. In many locations, you'll find wildlife and wilderness tours since many of these are land-based.

      There are also what's called adventure tours, which could include zip lining above rainforest canopies, horseback riding along remote beaches, canoeing or kayaking along rivers and 4 by 4 off-roading through jungle trails or mountain roads. Sightseeing tours are also abundant.

      If you're traveling abroad to Europe, there are literally hundreds of tours traveling to ancient ruins, castles, landmarks and other points of interest.

    Beach and Water Activities

    • With Royal Caribbean's water-related activities and shore excursions, passengers can embark on a variety of boating or wildlife watching tours, go scuba diving or snorkeling, or simply spend time swimming and lounging at a port-of-call beach of their choosing.

      Other activities out on the water including fishing, Jet Skiing, sailboarding, surfing, wind sailing or kayaking. Port of call regions that offer these excursions are Alaska, the Caribbean, the Mediterranean, Hawaii and Mexico.

    Recreational Activities

    • If you're the type of passenger who likes to keep your shore excursions simple, there are activities for you as well. Golfing is popular no matter where you travel. If you're spending the summer in Alaska or the Bahamas, there will be a golf course somewhere nearby.

      Another popular recreational excursion is flight seeing. Royal Caribbean partners with small plane charters in various locations and can arrange for you to take in the sights from up above.

      Culinary adventures are also a popular activity with Royal Caribbean passengers. Some excursions offer cooking lessons, others feature food sampling and wine tasting.

    Shows and Entertainment

    • Entertainment excursions consist of museum tours, live music shows, tribal dancing, pirate encounters and more. In warmer locations such as Mexico and the Caribbean, passengers can embark on dolphin swimming encounters, or getting up close and personal with a sea turtle, manta ray, sea lion or whale shark. Boat tours are also available in select locations. If one of your ports of call is San Francisco, you can embark on a twilight cruise of the Bay, while taking in views of the city's exceptional skyline.
