The Explorer Academy offers guests the opportunity to learn new skills and participate in various activities. Passengers can learn to salsa, swing or hip-hop dance, learn to play the keyboard, or learn casino and card games. For those interested in the culinary arts, available activities include wine tastings and classes, cooking demonstrations, and fruit and vegetable carving. Other activities include jewelry making, rock-wall instruction, guest lectures on your destination and other topics, napkin and towel folding classes, and foreign language classes.
Suspension bridges overlook the Pool Deck, where swimmers can enjoy views of the ocean below as the pool overhangs past the lower decks. Guests can jog along running tracks spanning 75 feet along the sides of the pool. The ship is equipped with bungee trampolines and a rock-climbing wall, which is 200 feet above sea level and 30 feet from the deck. The fitness center offers weight machines and other fitness equipment, as well as classes such as aerobics and yoga. The sports deck features full-size and half-court basketball courts, and a golf simulator and course. Sports tournaments, including basketball and golf competitions, are also organized during cruises.
Themed events involving music, toys and learning activities developed by Fisher Price are organized daily for children between 6 months and 18 months. Playground sessions are held for children between 18 months and 36 months. As part of the Adventure Ocean program, activities are provided for passengers between age 3 and 17 and include storytime sessions, themed activities and parties, hands-on science experiments, and art classes. Teens can learn how to DJ, participate in sports tournaments, dance competitions and talent shows, or play in a video game challenge.
Broadway-style theater productions and live musical performances are scheduled during cruises. Themed nights and parties are held on board, including retro Seventies and Eighties nights and masquerade balls. The ship's Casino Royale has 180 slot machines and 11 game tables, and organizes slots and blackjack tournaments. Guests will also find luxury shops and various themed eateries, clubs and bars, including the Schooner Bar, the Viking Crown lounge, the Boleros Latin-themed lounge, and the California Vineyards and Chops Grille restaurants.
