Texas Lake Cruises

According to Lone Star Internet, Texas has very few natural lakes but artificial ones number in the hundreds, mostly developed to provide electricity and store water. You can visit several lakes in any one of the seven regions that make up the state. Enjoy cruising along the many miles of lake shorelines and viewing the abundance of wildlife that calls Texas lakes home.
  1. Vanishing Texas River Cruise

    • Cruise the "Texas Eagle II" from September to November to enjoy the Fall Foliage Cruise. This 2-hour cruise includes lunch at an additional cost while you cruise along the shores of Lake Buchanan and the Colorado River shoreline to view the summer’s green foliage fading into the yellows, oranges and reds of the fall.

Photo opportunities not only include the beautiful fall foliage, but also the abundance of wildlife along the shores as well. Board the "Texas Eagle II" in the months of November through March, choosing between a 2-hour and 4-hour American Bald Eagle Cruise. During the winter months, colonies of American Bald Eagles call Lake Buchanan and the Texas Colorado River Canyon home.

Other birds that can be seen during this time include, but are not limited to, Scissor Tail Flycatchers, owls, crows, hawks, Great Blue Herons and ducks.
