Summer Camps in Georgia for Teens

Teens in Georgia have a variety of options when it comes to choosing a summer camp to attend. Camps can last anywhere from one week to nearly the entire summer and provide activities in a variety of interest areas. Sports camps, religious camps, academic camps and camps that focus on a little of everything are available.
  1. Camp Westminster

    • Camp Westminster offers a Senior Blast Camp for teens. This week long camp is designed to help teens explore God's handiwork in nature and spend time with other Christian teens. During camp teens can enjoy paintball, a high ropes course, team building activities and guest speakers that help teens see the relevance of Christ. The cost of the camp is $400, as of 2010.

    Camp Toccoa

    • Boys and Girls in grades one through 12 can attend Camp Toccoa located in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Georgia. Campers engage in a variety of activities during the camp including archery, horseback riding, sports and games and drama. In the evenings, campers participate in talent shows, cookouts, dances and pool parties. Each session is one week. The cost of the camp is $525, as of 2010.

    UGA Summer Music Camp

    • The University of Georgia offers a summer music camp for high school students. Campers spend a week engaging in private lessons and rehearsing with other high school musicians. At the end of the week, campers put on a final performance. As of 2010, the cost of the camp is $495 for students who choose to stay on campus and $395 for commuter students. Each hour of private lessons is $50 extra. Students who apply are required to have played an instrument for at least one year.

    Blue Ridge Camp

    • Blue Ridge Camp is open to campers from ages six to 16. Campers engage in a variety of athletic, aquatic and arts activities. Field trips to Six Flags and white-water rafting trips are also offered. As of 2010, the fee for a four-week session is $3850. Six-week sessions are also offered for $5750 or campers can attend the entire summer for $7500. Fees include all meals, activities and field trips. Transportation to and from the airport is also provided.
