Camps for Teens in Massachusetts

Summer camps in Massachusetts give teens a chance to experience the state's beautiful outdoors for a few weeks at a time. Most camps offer a traditional overnight format that allows campers to participate in a variety of summer sports activities, arts and crafts, and other fun. The length of sessions varies by camp.
  1. Camp Lenox

    • Located in the Berkshire Mountains of Massachusetts, Camp Lenox offers programs for boys and girls ages 7 to 16. The camp lasts seven weeks during which campers participate in a variety of electives from individual and team sports, to outdoor skills, to creative arts activities. Tuition for a full session is $9,300. Campers can also choose to attend a half session for $5,700.

    Camp Haiastan

    • Camp Haiastan is a summer camp for Armenian youth. The teen program, Zartonk, for 14 through 16 year olds allows teens to spend two weeks with other teens of Armenian descent. Campers participate in rope climbing, canoeing, and other traditional camp activities. The cost of the camp is $1,395.

    Camp Watitoh

    • Camp Watitoh is a traditional overnight camp located in Becket, Massachusetts. Camp sessions last approximately seven weeks and 100 boys and 100 girls can attend each summer. Campers participate in activities such as gymnastics, ping pong, a variety of water sports, and creative activities. Tuition for the full seven weeks is $7,500 along with a $250 canteen fund and an $80 insurance fee. Campers can choose to attend four weeks for $4,900.

    Camp Howe

    • Camp Howe offers one- and two-week summer camps for teens. During this camp teens develop leadership skills and participate in activities such as skeet shooting, hiking, off-site camping, and creative arts. The camp is sponsored by the Massachusetts 4-H program. The cost of the program is $450 for a one-week session and $855 for two-week sessions. Fees include lodging, meals, and a camp T-shirt.
