Ranch Camps for Teens

Summer ranch camps provide teens with the opportunity to experience the outdoors and participate in activities that relate to running a traditional ranch. Ranch camps provide opportunities to teach campers how to horseback ride and take care of horses and engage in camp sports and activities at the same time.
  1. Timberlake Ranch Camp

    • Timberlake Ranch Camp is a Christian camp focused on spreading the love of Christ. Students in fifth through ninth grade can choose to attend breakaway camp, horse camp or water-ski camp in addition to traditional camp activities. Camps last one week and cost between $290 and $375 as of 2010 depending on the program chosen.

    Circle F Dude Ranch Camp

    • Located in Lake Wales, Florida, Circle F Dude Ranch Camp offers programs for teens through age 16. Campers have the option of learning to ride and take care of one of the camp's 65 horses and participate in activities such as sailing and arts and crafts. Camps are offered in 10 day, two-week and three-week sessions and range in price from $1,695 to $2,695.

    Douglas Ranch Camp

    • Douglas Ranch Camp is in Carmel Valley, California, and offers traditional camp activities for children up to age 14. All campers are required to participate in six main activities: swimming, horseback riding, tennis, arts and crafts, riflery and archery. Camps are offered for two, three and four weeks. The cost of the Douglas Ranch Camp ranges from $3050 to $4500 depending on the length of the session.

    JCC Ranch Camp

    • JCC Ranch Camp provides Jewish children and teens with an opportunity to attend a Jewish-centered summer camp. Campers engage in a variety of activities including whitewater rafting, horseback riding and drama along with Shabat services and Jewish song sessions. Special field trip programs are offered for teens. Camps are approximately two and a half weeks in length. Camp prices vary based on the session and program chosen. Discounts are given for applying early and paying with cash or check instead of a credit card.
