The Summer at Seabury program is in association with the Seabury School, an independent preschool through middle school that serves what Seabury describes as "intellectually advanced children" in the Tacoma area. Their summer program is designed to challenge kids grades kindergarten through 8th academically and intellectually. The program operates daily from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. throughout the summer months. Seabury also provides daily childcare before and after camp for a nominal fee. Camp activities include learning zoology, photography, painting, gardening, cooking, film making and rocket building. The Seabury program even has a LEGO camp where kids can design and build their own LEGO city.

The Boy Scout Summer Camp in Tacoma is run out of Camp Hahobas, approximately 50 miles west of Tacoma. The overnight summer camp is for Boy Scouts and non Boy Scouts interested in five weeks of learning about civics, blacksmithing, archery, nature, handicraft, outdoor skills and having fun target shooting, canoeing, fishing, swimming, hiking and mountain biking. Younger Scouts can also enjoy scouting activities in the Pathfinder Program, where new scouts can learn all the basic Scouting skills.

The Tacoma Girl Scout Summer Camp is run out of Camp St. Albans, approximately 30 miles northwest from Tacoma. The two-week overnight camp is for girls from 7 to 17 years old. Girls can enjoy activities such as swimming, cookouts, campfires, outdoor skills, nature exploration, sing songs, play games and making crafts. Girls can also participate in a number of sporting activities like horseback riding, backpacking, canoeing, kayaking, rafting and sailing.

The Morgan Family YMCA Summer Camp is located in the YMCA building off of South Pearl Street, north of the Tacoma Community College. The day summer camp is for kids ages 5 to 12 years old, and operates Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with extended care from 6:30 to 8:45 in the morning and from 4:00 to 6:30 in the evening. Activities include arts and crafts, games, cooking, photography, music and story time. Depending on the week, kids can participate in a number of sports related activities, such as basketball, swimming, cheerleading, baseball, soccer, gymnastics, flag football, dance, rock climbing and floor hockey. Snacks and lunches are provided daily.
