Obey all traffic and parking signs. The entire park is volcanic and pieces of parking lots have been known to simply blow out from underneath. If an area is taped off, it's best not to park there.
Exit the park by either returning to the highway the way you came or by taking the scenic route back to I-90 through the east entrance. Westbound travelers can exit through the north entrance and follow Highway 89 back to the interstate.
