There are no native people on Antarctica. Antarctica is the coldest, driest, and windiest continent on Earth. It is also the highest continent, with an average elevation of about 2,000 meters (6,562 feet). The climate is too extreme for humans to live there permanently, although there are a few research stations that are staffed year-round.
