How much snow does Italy get?

Italy experiences varying amounts of snowfall depending on the region. The northern mountainous regions, such as the Alps and Apennines, typically receive significant snowfall during winter months. Some high-altitude areas, such as the Stelvio Pass, may receive several meters of snow. In contrast, the southern regions of Italy, particularly those along the Mediterranean coast, generally experience milder winters with little to no snowfall. Cities like Rome and Naples rarely see substantial snow accumulation.
