Why do glaciers grow slow in antarctica?
Glaciers in Antarctica do not grow slowly. In fact, some of the fastest-flowing glaciers in the world are found in Antarctica. The Jakobshavn Isbræ, for example, flows at a speed of up to 40 metres per day. This is because the ice in Antarctica is very thick, and the weight of the ice causes it to flow more quickly. Additionally, the climate in Antarctica is very cold, which helps to preserve the ice and prevent it from melting.
