What is the average rainfall on Mount Everest?

Mount Everest receives very little precipitation. At the summit, the average annual precipitation is only about 3 feet (0.9 meters), and most of that falls as snow. The lower slopes of the mountain receive more rainfall, but it is still relatively low, with an average of about 50 inches (127 centimeters) per year.
