The fastest ascent of Mount Everest was achieved by Nepalese mountaineer, Nirmal Purja. On 22nd May 2019, Nirmal Purja ascended Mount Everest from base camp to summit in 10 hours and 15 minutes. He reached the summit at 8:30 AM local time, becoming the fastest person to climb Mount Everest.
