Sudan is a majority-Muslim country (North Africa). Christmas is not a public holiday and is not widely celebrated publicly.
The population follows the Islamic calendar; Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr/Eid al-Adha are the major religious observances.
A small Christian minority (under 1%)—mostly in urban areas and among expatriates—may observe Christmas privately or attend church services. Some may travel to neighboring countries with more visible festivities.
There are no widespread decorations, markets, or commercial Christmas activities in Sudan.
