    • 2

Pay for the admission to the park. The cashier is to the right when you enter the park. Everyone including small children must be paid for and there is a fee for each camera that you bring into the park. Make sure to ask what time the bird show will be taking place so you do not miss it.

Follow the signs through the park to see the birds on display. You will first pass the cages with parrots from all over the world including macaws, conures, cockatoos and African grey parrots.

    • 4

Stop to see one of two natural ponds that house a variety of water birds. There are flamingos, pelicans, black swans and some beautiful waterfowl that live in the pond, and a covered bridge through the middle of the pond to get a closer look at some of the birds.

    • 5

Continue on toward the back of the park to see the hornbill display, the eagles, snakes, crocodiles and the rest of the birds that are in residence at Penang Bird Park. There is also a small shop that sells water, drinks and snacks if you need a break.

    • 6

Visit the two walk-in aviaries in the park. The first one is located in the back of the park and is home to songbirds and some ground birds. You can opt to feed the birds some meal worms and watch as they come down to your dish to eat. The second walk-in aviary is located between the two ponds and is home to a variety of water birds including spoonbills, pelicans and storks.

Take a minute to see the storks as they are building their nests on the platforms on the side of the pond. They carry each stick up top in their beak.

    • 8

Sit down and enjoy the bird show. There are performing macaws, barn owls, sea eagles, hornbills and pelicans taking part in the show. Some of the birds even swoop and glide around above your head to the trainer's command.
