How to Go to Bangkok's Grand Palace

Bangkok's Grand Palace, known as Thanon Na Phra Lan in Thai, is a compound of temples, galleries and former royal residences. Sculptures, murals, thrones and other artifacts, including the Emerald Buddha, a Thai treasure and revered Buddhist icon, reside in the palace buildings. The religious, national and cultural significance of the palace beckons Thais and tourists alike. There are many ways for visitors to Bangkok to get to the Grand Palace, located just east of the Chao Phraya River.
