Kampai is an intimate sushi bar located near Hess Village. "Kampai" means "cheers" in Japanese and the bar gives credit to the name with a long list of rice wines. Consider Kampai for a first date or a quiet night out with a friend.
The futuristic decor of Spring Sushi transports the guest to a different dimension. Spring Sushi's food presentation is just as far-out as its design -- they stack sushi rolls atop one another to create edible, pyramid-like structures. Spring also provides an all-you-can-eat sushi menu for a flat rate, as well as party trays for large groups or carryout. The menu includes many traditional sushi rolls and a fair share of steak and chicken entrees. Some meat entree presentations mimic traditional sushi, such as the sirloin steak with spring onion. The steak is thinly sliced and wrapped around the onion in the same way rice paper would be wrapped around a sushi roll.
Joya offers casual sushi dining with a solid traditional menu. Located just west of McMaster University, outside of downtown, it is able to offer affordable prices to students and visitors alike.
