Fundy National Park's amenities include three campgrounds, over 20 waterfalls, a golf course, a heated saltwater swimming pool, and hiking and biking trails. A non-profit group called the Fundy Guild cooperates with the park to provide programs, such as the Naturalist Club, an "Owl Prowl" in April, the "Haunted Hike" in October and trail maps.
Fundy National Park's weather is unique for its wide variation between its two climatic zones: the Bay of Fundy and southern New Brunswick. The Bay of Fundy is characterized by cool summers and mild winters, while the Southern New Brunswick zone experiences warm summers and cold winters with more snow. There is typically an obvious difference in weather between the park's two zones.
Fundy National Park offers a wide variety of campgrounds to give visitors a range of experiences. Campsites offer tent pads, fireplaces with wood, pit privies and picnic tables, and garbage bags on request
The Headquarters Campground is within walking distance of the town of Alma and the pool. As an unserviced campground, it features flush toilets, showers, a laundromat, a trailer dump and some wheelchair accessible facilities.
The Chignecto North Campground, located along Route 114 northwest of Alma, is a wooded camping area. It features both serviced and unserviced sites, and it also hosts some wheelchair accessible facilities. This campground boasts flush toilets, showers and laundry facilities, and a trailer dump station.
The Pointe Wolfe Campground is the most isolated campground, and it's located about 20 km (12 mi) from Alma. It is in a quiet, semi-wooded area, close to many trails, and features kitchen shelters, showers, flush toilets and fire pits.
The Wolfe Lake Campground is an unserviced tent campground, with vault toilets. There is also group campground, Chignecto South, for use by non-profit groups for educational or recreational purposes. .
Fundy National Park also has 13 back country campsites at Goose River, Marven Lake, Tracey Lake or Foster Brook, offering a rustic camping experience for campers wishing to completely escape civilization. These sites--which feature firewood, fireplaces and pit privies--also offer winter camping, for which reservations are required. Many of these campsites are located off of moderate or strenuous trails.
Fundy National Park offers campers a wide range of activities throughout the park. It has over 62 miles of hiking trails, many leading to waterfalls, rivers and secluded lakes for swimming. which are excellent for swimming. There are six trails for mountain biking and 32 miles of backpacking trails. Kayaking is available in the Bay of Fundy. The park has tennis courts and a 9 hole, 70-par golf course. It also has a heated salt water swimming pool. There is also a wide variety of wildlife, including 260 species of birds, small mammals--such as porcupines, beavers and bobcats--and even moose and black bears.
