Was There a Spanish Ship Named *Aurelia* Wrecked in 1715?

No historical record exists of a Spanish vessel named Aurelia sinking in 1715.

The famous 1715 disaster was the loss of the Spanish Treasure Fleet (Flota de Indias) off Florida's east coast during a hurricane. Eleven of twelve ships sank, including the Nuestra Señora de Atocha (often conflated—Atocha actually sank in 1622) and the Nuestra Señora del Rosario, Santo Cristo de San Román, and others. The fleet carried massive silver, gold, and emerald cargo from the Americas.

The name Aurelia does not appear in the official manifests or survivor accounts of the 1715 fleet. It may be a confusion with Atocha or a fictional vessel from literature/games.
