Where is Managua located?

Managua, the capital of Nicaragua, is located in western Nicaragua. It lies on the southern shores of Lake Managua, between the Apoyeque and Momotombo volcanoes. Managua is the political, commercial, and cultural center of the country, with a population of approximately 1 million people.
