Charter a sailboat to the island and drop anchor in one of the island's bays. The Moorings sailboat fleet has a station on the island, and they have buoys in Grand Bay close to the Tamarind Beach Hotel. Travelers using the Moorings company can charter a boat with a captain, a fully crewed yacht, or can sail and captain their own boat. According to Moorings, "Many sailors opt for a one-way Canouan sailing holiday from the Moorings base at Charlestown Bay to Grenada, allowing them to cover more ground and avoid sailing to windward."
Embark on a ferry from St. Vincent or other surrounding islands to Canouan Island. An inter-ferry system services all islands in the region and is cheaper than chartering a private boat.
