Where is selelucia located?

Seleucia is an ancient city located in present-day Iraq. It was founded by Seleucus I Nicator, one of Alexander the Great's generals, in the 4th century BC. Seleucia was the capital of the Seleucid Empire, which ruled much of the Middle East from 312 to 63 BC. The city was located on the banks of the Tigris River, about 35 kilometers southeast of modern Baghdad. Seleucia was a major center of trade and culture, and it was home to a large population of Greeks and other foreigners. The city was destroyed by the Romans in 165 AD, but it was rebuilt and continued to be inhabited until the 7th century AD.
