Where does the mediterranean sea start?

The Mediterranean Sea is an enclosed sea, connected to the Atlantic Ocean by the Strait of Gibraltar. It is surrounded by Europe, Africa, and Asia. The traditional boundaries of the Mediterranean Sea include the Strait of Gibraltar to the west, the Bosphorus Strait and the Dardanelles to the northeast, and the Suez Canal to the southeast.
