Countries East of Saudi Arabia Across the Persian Gulf

Across the Persian Gulf to the east of Saudi Arabia lie two countries:

1. Iran – northern Gulf coast, shares maritime border with Saudi Arabia.
2. Qatar – on the northeastern Arabian Peninsula, also across the Gulf.

Both are key regional players with significant energy resources.
