The campsite offers many of the facilities of a hotel, including four swimming pools to help you cool off in hot weather. Play tennis or volleyball, take part in aerobics and lake fishing or, if it all gets too much, just enjoy the Italian sun. During the summer months, the campsite has its own restaurant and take-away. Guests can also use washing and laundry facilities and keep in touch with friends and relatives at home via an Internet access point. Peschiera Del Garda is an interesting small town in itself, but its location is also close to the Gardaland and Canevaworld theme parks, while a main railway line links the town to the cities of Milan, Brescia, Verona and Venice.

Located on the lakeshore in the Gulf of Salo, on Lake Garda's western side, is Camping Eden. The 300-pitch, four-star campsite is a good choice if you are interested in trying water sports: you can hire everything you need for windsurfing, waterskiing and canoeing at the Diving and Sailing Center at Baia Del Vento, less than a kilometer away. At the campsite itself you can play tennis, soccer, beach volleyball or video games, go swimming or just sunbathe on the private beach. Visit the town of Salo, only two kilometers to the north, or take a lake ferry across to the Gardaland theme park on the eastern shore. During the summer you can eat at the campsite's restaurant, buy food from the takeaway or enjoy a glass of wine in the bar.

History buffs will enjoy a stay at the Toscolano campsite at Lake Garda's northern tip. The campsite is in the grounds of an old monastery dating back to the 14th century and the site restaurant is actually housed in one of the old monastic buildings. The four-star site offers 409 pitches and washing and laundry facilities. It has two swimming pools---one for all the family and one reserved for kids. If you have your own transport, the site's location at the north end of Lake Garda means that the Alps are close at hand, making it easy to go hiking or visit some of the smaller, higher Italian lakes, such as Lake Iseo and Lake Idro.
