The Herkules Bar, an intimately sized cocktail lounge in the center of Lund, is only three blocks from the central train station, making it a convenient spot for those coming in from out of town. Except for Tuesdays and Wednesdays, when the venue is low-key, Herkules is in nightclub mode. The club is in partnership with the upscale Stortorget restaurant next door, in hopes of catching the after-dinner crowd. This aspect, along with the array of champagne cocktails Herkules offers, attracts a chic set, both locally and from as far away as Copenhagen.

While access to the cafe is available each night of the week, it's only on Fridays and Saturdays that Tegnérs becomes a full-on nightclub. On those nights, it goes by the name T-Bar. The large venue has two separate dance floors, each with a DJ booth as well as a disco ball, under which a crowd of Lund University students usually dances to a mix of pop, hip-hop and R&B.

Although venues are not often both sports bars and nightclubs, Gloria's Sportsbar, in central Lund, seems to be an exception. During the week, Gloria's serves beverages and shows sporting events from around the world; on the weekends, it officially turns into a nightclub where admission is free. On these few days, the bar still serves up drinks, with a specialty in whiskey, while the club room opens up and turns into a "discotek."
