When was Dublin made?

The city of Dublin was founded by Vikings in 841 AD. They set up a trading settlement with the Irish on the banks of the River Liffey. TheVikings ruled Dublin until 1170 when they were defeated by the Anglo-Normans. Dublin then became the capital of Ireland and remained so until the independence of the country in 1921.
