Several different swimming with dolphin programs are available at each attraction, with varying levels of dolphin interaction. The Dolphinaris attraction features four programs ranging from a one-hour introductory session to a full-day "trainer for a day" program, states Cancun Care. Dolphin Discovery offers 10 different choices of programs, many of which can be combined to create a personalized experience. At Xcaret, visitors can choose the Basic or Plus experience, and Swim with Dolphins Cancun offers three different programs, from a basic dolphin encounter to an advanced swim program.
Depending on the program, the cost of swimming with dolphins programs vary. As of September 2010, the Xcaret swim with dolphins program includes admission to the whole Xcaret park and runs $199 for adults and $164 for kids. The Swim with Dolphins Cancun basic introduction session costs $89 for adults and $79 for children. Dolphin Discovery prices run $89 and up, while Dolphinaris prices start at $30.
