Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, sits at the end of the Baja California peninsula and is one of the most popular Mexican vacation destinations. The mild climate--the average daytime temperature is 78 degrees Fahrenheit--makes it a great destination for American citizens looking for a winter getaway. It's also popular for weddings and other events. Cabo is surrounded by the Pacific Ocean and Sea of Cortez, providing plenty of adventures for visitors.
  1. Beaches

    • The great beaches are one of the main reasons people decide to visit Cabo San Lucas. As an added bonus, Cabo beaches often are less crowded than those at other popular beach destinations. Among the most popular beaches are Medano Beach, Solmar Beach, Playa El Faro Viejo, Playa Migrino and Twin Dolphin Beach. In addition to laying in the sun and taking a dip in the ocean, many Cabo beaches are perfect for snorkeling or other water adventures. Some beaches and hotels also have popular shops. Common shopping items include handmade artwork and pottery, jewelry and clothing. It's important to remember, however, that the majority of stores are closed from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. each day.
