Tourism in Fort Walton Beach, Florida

Fort Walton Beach is tucked in northwest Florida. The town is a part of what is known as the Emerald Coast region, along with the cities of Destin and Okaloosa Island. Visitors can expect to find turquoise waters and beachfront accommodations.

    • Fort Walton Beach enjoys a subtropic climate that affords visitors nearly 350 days of sunshine each year. During the summer months, temperatures average between around 70 and 90 degrees F, and the winter months have mild weather.

    • Tourism is big part of the Fort Walton Beach area, which translates to a variety of hotel accommodation options for visitors.
