There are a few different beaches in Southern California. Laguna Beach is located in Crystal Cove Park and typically does not have many crowds because of the terrain; you have to carry your things up and down the cliffs to get there. However, as a result of the limited amount of people who visit it, is the fact that the sand stays very clean. The beach has a large parking area with restrooms, showers and changing areas. Mission Bay San Diego is a popular area for scuba diving and surfing. Santa Monica is a large beach, nearly 2 miles long. The pier is a popular attraction here because of the restaurant, carousel and shopping. The pier also has contains Pacific Park, which is a large, amusement-park-type collection of rides and games.
Hollywood is a city known worldwide for movies, television and movie stars. You can take tours of the movie and television studios, visit Mann's Chinese Theater and see movie stars' footprints set in cement, you can even purchase a map from sellers on the street that show you where some famous stars live. You can also take guided bus tours around the city that show you the stars' homes and the homes of many famous producers and directors, as well.
Solvang is a Danish-themed village north of Santa Barbara. The village has windmills, pastry shops, shopping and restaurants. You can stay in a Danish-themed hotel or motel while you visit the city. In the mornings you can smell the local shops and bakeries cooking cookies and pies, creating a nice atmosphere.
Disneyland is located in Anaheim and is the original park opened by Walt Disney. Disneyland is a place where no matter what your age, you can feel like a child again while exploring all of your favorite Disney-themed attractions.
