Named after the long gone crossroads of Cashtown, the Cashtown Inn has been serving guests since 1815. There are still relics from when Confederate soldiers marched through in the summer of 1863, including two giant brick ovens for baking bread and a natural spring that flows through the cellar. Soldiers encamped in the surrounding orchard and tended their wounded in a stable that's since been pulled down. The Cashtown Inn owners don't deny the presence of spirits in their house; guests have reported doors being slammed and other unexplained phenomena. There are four original rooms guests can stay in, three of which were occupied by Confederate generals when they commandeered the hotel for their use. One dates back to 1797, when the Cashtown Inn was just a stagecoach stop.

Like many area hotels, the Baladerry Inn served as a field hospital for union soldiers in the immediate aftermath of the fierce battle. The Balderry Inn was built in 1812 on the Bushman Farm, with further improvements on the main house completed in 1830. The Baladerry Inn's owner has dozens of pictures and stories from her guests about ghostly encounters on the property. A psychic hired by the owner believes the source of the haunting are the Confederate soldiers buried under a nearby tennis court. The Baladerry Inn has 10 rooms for its guests, some in the main house and others in the carriage house.
