Carmel Highlands Hotels

Just over three miles south of the city of Carmel is its unincorporated but no less charming neighbor, Carmel Highlands. The city of Carmel itself, of course, is famous for a number of things: golf, breathtaking views of the Pacific, its dog-friendly community, and of course, its former mayor, actor Clint Eastwood. Carmel Highlands hugs the northern Big Sur coastline and is close enough to the city of Carmel so that visitors can stay in either location and enjoy the attractions in each without having to travel far for the true Carmel experience.
